is our only goal!"
Pacific Intervention Ltd.
Welcome!
The first thing you need to know is that interventions work. Interventions are not about blame or tough love. They are the coming together of friends and family in a united show of love and support for the individual suffering with addiction. Interventions attempt to prevent the addicted individual from reaching Rock Bottom before seeking help.
PACIFIC INTERVENTION LTD. FACILITATION PROCESS
The P.I.L. Service will:
- Prepare the family and friends for the intervention.
- Organize and facilitate the carefrontation.
- Arrange for an appropriate treatment program and have all the travel plans in place so that the person of concern can begin the journey to recovery immediately following the carefrontation.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
Pacific Intervention views addiction as a disturbance that operates within a systemic context. This means that it is equally as important that both the person of concern and his/her support system change their behaviours to change the system. P.I.L. will assist both the person of concern and the family and friendship system in recognizing and changing these maladaptive patterns of behaviours.
OUTCOMES & GOALS
Successful intervention occurs when any of the following happens:
- The family and friendship system outline their expectations that the person of concern go immediately to treatment.
- The family and friendship system outlines how things will be different from the system point of view if the individual refuses to go treatment.
- When the person of concern goes to treatment.
- Or if he/she refuses to go for treatment, when family and friends maintain the consequences presented during the carefrontation.
- Either of these outcomes is considered a success as they will change the system for the better.
