THE PACIFIC INTERVENTION TEAM
The Pacific Intervention team consists of three experienced and professionally certified staff;
a psychiatrist, a psychiatric social worker, and a psychiatric nurse.

Dr. Kevin Solomans MD. FRCP(C)
Dr. Solomons is a psychiatrist with over 22 years experience and is
an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of
British Columbia. His special areas of expertise include mood disorders,
addiction disorders, emergency psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and
psychotherapy. He has also trained and worked as a family, industrial
and community mediator in the past. Richard, Helanna and he have worked
together in an acute care setting for over 7 years. |
Richard Singleton BSW, MSW
Richard Singleton has his Bachelor and Masters Degree in Social Work
from the University of British Columbia. His areas of interest and the
primary focus of his studies were around mental illness and chemical
dependency counseling. Richard has worked at Vancouver General Hospital
since 1998 and is currently working in on an acute care psychiatric
inpatient unit.

Helanna Procyshyn MA, RN, RPN
Helanna has worked as a registered nurse for over 9 yrs in Vancouver, specializing in acute adult psychiatry, mental health crisis & stabilization, and addictions. She
completed her master's degree in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University, Victoria, BC.
Helanna is trained in mediation and negotiation skills, and her major research project is working with women in eastern Indonesia who have been effected by conflict related trauma.
